One requirement at infas is having at disposal comprehensive and up-to-date analysis instruments for statistical analyses corresponding to the current status of science – for descriptive statistics, multivariate methods and econometrical analyses in equal measure. Sophisticated statistical procedures only can ensure correct data interpretation as well as eliminating drawing inaccurate conclusions.
One part of statistical analysis is the assessment of a realised sample with regard to representativeness and potential selectivity with the objective of largely avoiding selectivity effects, analysing them and handling identified systematic non-response. Therefore, infas carries out routine selectivity analyses.
